Attach the two triangle brackets to the Neon seat bottoms by putting a bolt in through the side.

Adjust the Samurai tracks so that the old bolt holes are 15 3/16" apart and square to the seat at the rear. Then carefully mark the track positions on the triangle brackets.

Remove the tracks and the triangle brackets from the seat. Spot weld the brackets to the tracks. Then reassmble the seat bottom. Install it in your truck and test the operation of the tracks through their full range of motion.

When you are satisfied the track is working correctly, take the bottom back out, disassemble, and finish weld. Put it all back together and install.

The passenger side has latching mechanisms on both sides of the track. First remove the link which connects both sides of latch mechanism.

The release mechanism that goes under the seat  is attached with an E clip and a screw. This cable is what allows the seat to slide forward when released from the rear. The second picture shows the cable on the bottom of the track.

The passenger tracks are then removed similar to the driver's side.

I used the same method as on the driver's side to fit, spot weld, test, and finish weld the tracks.

I drilled and tapped the Neon hinge to install the Samurai release cable. I cut the handle from the Samurai hinge and used a crimp splice to hook it to the track release cable. These were seats from a 2 door Neon, so the seat back tilt was already built in. The cable release is only to slide the seat bottom forward.

These seats are a huge improvement in ride quality. A very worthwhile modification.

i would recommend if any one would like something new / bucket style and spend a bit more to get
Bomz bucket seats made from memory foam. very good ride comfort and they hold well in the seat for turns and off roading.
