Charcoal Canister.
« on: January 20, 2010, 01:32:41 PM »
Hello!

I am new, but i was hoping to get my samurai officially running before introducing myself...

My charcoal canister is leaking from the bottom... the port coming off the bottom has no hose to it and it wont idle because if it.

Is it supposed to be plugged? or where does it go? does someone have a picture for reference?

THANK YOU!

much appreciated if you can help.

Sounds like something is hooked up wrong, the canister is supposed
to filter out gas vapors from the tank, check your vacuum hose routing
and follow the line from the tank, should be a small one, smaller than
the fuel line to the pump.

thanks, ill check it out tomorrow, its too dark right now.
i remember there being 3 lines from the tank going to the top of the canister, they all looked correctly placed (side wise they wouldnt fit otherwise)

Is this a TBI Injected Sammi or a Carb?
3 lines would be supply, return and vapor
