what is this for?
« on: March 07, 2010, 04:00:45 PM »
Ok, I'm no newbee, and not sure where to post this but here we go... I'm stripping my sammy, its an 87, pulled the instrument cluster, and there is 3 wires,  blue, red and white. They go to a little switch that is screwed to the underdash behind the steering column. My question is, what's the switch for, and what do the 3 wires operate ??? If I need to I can post a pic tomorrow. Thanks in advance, blknight

its a trouble code reset switch   flip it one way, your "sensor" light will come on, and STAY lit, then flip it the other, and it'll go out.     its basically a reset switch for what is the equivalent of a "check engine" light.

it's the horse power switch....flick it and fly....just kidding. reset switch for the zuke that is supposed to have no computor. It's behind the speaker on the passenger side and controls the carb.
