I.D. this Switch
«

Bought this "89" Sidekick and there is a switch on the dashboard that I would like to know what it's for. It isn't mentioned or pictured in the owners manual. A friend thought it looked like it might be for Fog Lights, but there are no fog lights on the car.
I took a picture and will see if I can attach it here. The switch in question is between the rear window defogger switch and the rear door lock/unlock switch.

Yeah, I think it's fog or auxilliary lights...
Does it have any lights up front or wires dangling up by/on the bumper?

No, no wires or evidence where any aux lights had been installed. Plus it's a factory switch, so do you think they put the switch in as standard when the car was assembled IN CASE it was ordered with fog lights?

no, that would have cost $$$--
usually there would be a 'blank' knockout if there were no fogs...
Are you certain the wiring is not there? What is the switch connected to?

That switch is for aux lights of some sort. When you activate the switch, does the light underneath it come on?
