suspension lift questions????
« on: June 07, 2004, 11:02:21 AM »
Posted this one for someone else with a Sidekick, How do you correct the camber after a spacer lift or just suspension, without changing out the A arms???? I've read something about some bolts or something??? any pictures or more detailed info??? He has lifted his kick about 3" in the front and 4" in the back, just only put other springs under it, any ideas on other problems that can or will occur??????
Allready thanks for all replies  ???

the bolts r caled camber bolts. ebay or any auto parts store don't be vehicle specific with the parts store. I FIXED MY CAMBER PRBLEMS BY MAKINE THE TOP BOLT HOLE, WHERE THE STRUT BOLTS THE KNUCLE, OVAL OR ELONGATED SO YOU HAVE TOP TO BOTTOM AJUSTMENT/CAMBER THEN I TOOK IT A LOCAL SHOP THAT DOES MORE THAN FACTORY ALIGNMENT CORRECTION. you need to call around to see if there is a shop that will set ur camber because camber tools are not cheep. u can eyeball it but u may have problems.

I like the RRO kit and have the spacers fitted - easy & effective.

You also need to get your shock/struts extended, unless you want extreem in which case replacements are the only answer. The previous solution was to flip over the top strut mount to get some drop

Look at Deldana.com.br for their 2" lift kit - poly bushes + shock & strut spacers and really cheap!!!!!!

You must get the camber done - the bolts are cheap and easy and effective.

Don't be afraid - go for it - you'll grin like never before, and the car can be setup to run/track properly.
