DRL's go to go
« on: May 05, 2011, 01:48:34 AM »
2000 Tracker 2.0
I tried to search for the answer, couldnt find. I pulled the 9 pin connector from the silver box, right side of steering column, level with ac controls. The lights went off OK. But when I tried to turn them on manually, no lights? I really do not need DRL's. A couple of times, I went for a ride and lights were on but guess what? If I dont turn the lights on maually, I do not have tail lights! Not cool.

OK, I'm confused...

So you pulled the connector, and the DRL's went out, so they don't come on anymore, right? And in order to get headlights and tail lights, you have to turn them on manually, correct? Like every other vehicle with a headlight switch?  ??? Or is that not the case?

I'm ok with the DRL's, because I can pull the parking brake to turn them off when I'm sitting still. However, I'm NOT ok with the auto headlights. I'll probably unplug sensor on the dash for those this weekend.
