SPOA = 33" tires ?

SPOA = 33" tires ?

Can you put 33" tires on a "regular" SPOA lift? Wasn't sure if they rubbed

If you can't run 33s what do people with a spoa usually do in order to run 33s?

Yes you should be able to run the 33's, I will be hammering back the inner fenders on my SWB and drilling the spring perch to gain another inch and mount 34" LTB's with no rubbing. Just remember, big tires means things break. Heavy wide 33's will actually break things faster then the taller thinner LTB so drive her nicely and if you are locked, do not let a lifted tire hit the ground again under serious skinny pedal or you will pop an axle.

I cut a couple of inches out of the rear wheel well, but was able to run 33x12.5" tires without rubbing with a straight SPOA:



Lost Zuk is correct though in that you will likely rub. I also took a hammer to the back side of the inner fender well.

Cool -- then i'll have to do the same. I'll look into what all to hammer and cut...
