I'll upload pix later.
I have a 2002 Suzuki GV 5spd. I put HD OME front springs on it with OME struts, OME springs and 1" spacers on the rear with crown vic shocks.
I tried to get the metric 30" bfg's and was told they were discontinued due to the market so I bought 30x9.50x15 KM2's. To fit them I used Samurai wheels with the round holes, and had to use spacers up front with caliper grinding. The rear I ran without spacers.
I regeared it from the 4.30's to 5.13's and it is perfect off-road. We ran Black Bear pass, Imogene, Cork Screw Gulch, California Gulch, and Engineers Pass here in Colorado without a problem.
The 5.13's geared it lower than stock which I feel is the way it should have felt stock on the road. Off-Road I have no problem with gearing even in the toughest situations. I could have used 4.88's to bring it to stock gearing but I wanted a little more considering that there are no 4:1's for the 5spd GV's.
When I get the time and extra trans and tcase I'm going to make an intermediate shaft between the GV trans so I can run kick 4:1's. The GV kick case has a long input shaft from the input gear to reach onto the trans which is a toyota family transmission.
The only problem I had was when we were going over engineer pass I kept hearing a creaking noise in the right front, and could not figure out what the hell it was. When we got home I started looking closer, jacked up the front, and found the strut had broke inside. I called ARB about the strut and said they never heard of one going bad, so I emailed them pix, called a few times and said they would warranty it. They said it was because I wasn't running a bumper and winch with the HD springs. I found that funny, because even if I was running a winch and bumper the front suspension would still fully extend in wheeling conditions.
The OME suspension is awesome riding. The only complaint is the bad strut chopped up my nice BFG's when it went bad.
So far the new strut is going well, but I haven't wheeled it since.
BTW to fit 30's on only 1.5 to 2"s of lift I got I had to cut the plastic fenders at the bottom corner of the front wheel wells near the floor board. I had to use a bfh to clear the tires, and trim the front bumper. I did not want to do a body lift.
I love how this thing wheels
