Help on '02 Tracker Soft Top...
« on: October 02, 2011, 11:27:27 AM »
Hello folks.

I'm trying to figure out how damaged is the Soft Top of this '02 Tracker. I don't know how is suposed to be the correct way of a soft top is.

I would like to know if the soft top could be fix it or do I need to buy a full replacement of it.

The car is far away from me right now, I just have these pictures of the soft top.

What do you think guys do I need? I know there is no the rear clear plastic screen, but I don't know if that is the only thing is missed or is the full rear window (with vinyl and zipper) or maybe some frame or hardware....

Thanks in advance for your help.

That is a first gen top and first gen bow. It is never gonna fit, cant be done. You need a new top and new hardware.

Thank you for the responses...

The bad thing is that you're right, bad soft top and no hardware...the good thing, I learned a lot about the tracker, after some weeks on partially working on the building process, ordering a bestop soft top, modifying the old bow and rear window bar homemadeit... I have my soft top on it!

The trim doesn't look so bad, and is totally functional!, so, whenever I see an imperfection on it, I always remember the total amount I save it building by myself, hehehe.

Some pictures of the "beta" trims...

After some "rubber" paint on truck...

One of several tests...

How it looks with the new soft top....

Thanks a lot for your help Miikerpm4x4

Cheers...
