As long as you don't shut the engine down you shouldn't need one.
If you want to see for your self just hang out by a boat ramp. Look at the people that back all the way down the ramp to launch their boats and get their exhaust submerged. As long as they don't shut down their alright. When they shut down they have this what the h$ll look on their faces when their engine won't restart.

If you have a sealed exhaust (no leaks) you
won't get water into the engine, too many
places air (exhaust) gets trapped and won't
let the water through, first one is the U bend
that goes over the rear axle, prevents water
from going too far, next is the up section from
the cat to the manifold.

I've been half way up the door in water, about
3 feet, funny it sounds like a boat, no problems.

97TRAKIN and wildgoody are correct.  The dude from that show TRUCKS! on Spike TV said the exact same thing.

I like those car shows on Spike. :P

Yea, me too! I never watched them untill I startes seeing sweet 4x4's in the parking lot. When I spoke to one of the guys I found out that their Automotive Business Ofice is two floors above my office 8) I need to go up there and try to talk them into a Suzuki Off-Road special on Trucks ;D

OMG...Zukipilot, if you could do that, it would be soooo awesome!!  How cool would it be to see our very under-rated Suzuki 4x4 family showcased on TV like that??
;D ;D

They did a 4x4 special a few years ago, where the Middle Tennessee Trailrunners (my old club) took them on a trail ride. Most of the clips of the BIG 4x4's in wooded areas are the clubs members trucks. I tried to fid an open seat, but being the new guy, I did not get to ride (and my Kick was not built good enough to do the trails) I wish I had it in the condition it's in now, I probably could of been on TV 8)

Ya it makes me mad whenever I go pick up a 4x4 magazine at chapters and page after page all you see is jeep...jepp..jeep...jeep...jeep...

To tell the truth I think I've only seen one Samurai in a magazine.  Never seen a trakick.
