Hunting for lifted Kick coil springs.
« on: April 16, 2004, 05:39:25 AM »
I need taller springs.    On my 1994 4dr Kick I've got....

Front:
I've got 2wd V6 Grand Vitara front coils up front with a 2" and .5' spacer.  I'd like to gain more lift and (If I can) loose the spacers

Rear:
I've tried the TJ fronts in the rear,  Too tall  (These may be 6cyl TJ front coils).
Grand Vitara 2wd V-6 rear coils, too short.

What is the factory 4dr Kick spring rate  (Front / Rear) ?

RRO offer OME 1.5" coils?

Calmini offers 3" coils?     How do these compare?

I'm thinking of chasing coils in the U-pull it one day next week.  Anyone else looked at other applications and ruled them out?

The Calmin 3" with a 2" spacer is very appealing right now.

Then I can stick my fronts in the rear???  ...   Any one tried this yet???

May have been TJ rears,   I thought I read that it was fronts.  I'm going to try to find some 4cyl rear TJ coils.  The tops were OK but the bottoms were huge.  I considered taking one or two wraps off with the torch and then closing them to fit.  But the guy that I borrowed them from really didn't want me to keep them as he expects to trash his on the Sammy 3-link rear.

AFCOs are 5"  :( I think 175 # in the rear work ok
I want some stiffer and 16" long, I bought
Heathers old 2" lifted TJ springs, but I forget
if they are front or rear, fronts I think tho.

I've got pics of 4-dr Kick GV & TJ fronts all together, I'll try to get those up this week, I'll be stuck at work until tomorrow...
