'96 clutch box problem
« on: July 27, 2012, 04:18:58 PM »
Hey y'all.  New guy from Alabama here.  I have a '96 Tracker 4X4 with a standard transmission.  The clutch pedal has a rod attached to it that's threaded on the end where the clutch cable attaches to a bracket.  This bracket has a square hole that fits on the square shoulders of the rod, just past the threads.  A nut holds the bracket in place.  Mine broke where the threads start, so I'm looking for a replacement clutch pedal that has this threaded end.  My problem is that I've bought two and neither had the threaded end, but had a splined end.  Does anyone know if it's just the '96 that had the threaded end?  And, does anyone have one available for purchase????  If so, email me at bordurlin|removethispart|@bellsouth.net.  Thanks.

Give Samurai Salvage or Trail Tough a call.  I believe you can swap the entire pedal assembly between models.
