I dont have a lot of money to spend to lift my kik, so i am asking. What is the cheepest way to get about 4" total lift?

i am an intuitive person, however it is easer to stand on the shoulders of others, then make the mistakes first hand.
Also has anyone constructed there own snorkel? see alot of ppl running safaries, looks easy enough to build,

and I am ripping the carpet out of this thing, what is recomended for spray ligner? and any of it better then others at killing sound? goal is to make everything to the windows water resistant, raceing seats and thigs of the such, i am a computer tech and drive this daily, so i want the eas of cleaning after wheeling, the outside can be as dirty as hell but gota be clean on the inside. "garden hose and waterproof interior."

Thank you that looks doable, now anyone know what this will look like with that kindo of lift and 30" tires? dont want to put biger then that until i can aford the gears. i think that it would look with just stock size, if i could find then in the swamper like tread format.

If you want to waterproof it up to the windows you'll need to relocate some "under dash" stuff, like the ECU and the fuse box (probably more but can't think of it now  ;))
And for a snorkle, I'd say go PVC type like mine:

Sky manufact 1.5" coil spacers $80
Rocky Road 2" body lift $119

= 3.5" lift for around $200

Snorkel, 2" ABS plastic pipe (its actually 2.75")+ a 2.75 hole cutter drill bit and an electrical weather head for a top, total $45 |removethispart|@  Lowes Hardware

Snorkel is a 2.5 pipe and the top is a  Donaldson pre-cleaner.  i have a Safari Snorkels top on the way.

3+3 calmini 5.12 a lock in the back and front with steel front diff. 4.24 in tc

All verry good ideals, i will go and get the parts for the smorkel on the first,  and probly the lift, it might look a little funny on stock wheels with a snorkel and a lift lol i will right work in progress on the side of it and wheel it anyway.  

Anyone have any probs with the altenator while running under water?  just curious.
also thought of getting light plexy and building a box for all of the electronics under the hood.  That way they are dry and easy to get to. anyone have a suzuk with the motor out that could give me a pic of the firewall, so i know what to seal.

and with my 57 i just wraped the electronics in plastic ;D
howerver there are a lot fewer of them on that rig then this one. and the air breather sucked air from under the passanger dash, but that was a pain in the rump let me tell ya what.  8) 8)

Take the ECU to a radio shop and have them spray the circuit board wih Conformal Coating. Pull all the electrical connectors apart and pack them with Petroleum Jelly to prevent corrosion). If the water is clean the alternator should work OK but if you drive in water a lot you will eventually trash all the bearings, alternator bearings, wheel bearings, UJs anything that can have the grease washed out of it if the seals are even a little worn. Check the fit of the oil filler cap and dipstick and extend the breathers for the axles as well. Over here we have a lot of 'water' sections at off road sites but after 170 vehicles have driven through them half a dozen times you are driving through liquid mud which wears out and jams up most things including starter motors, alternator brushes, rear brakes (very quickly!) and the real PITA, the clutch thrust bearing which can seize either engaged or disengaged.

hey wolf66 i do not understand why you put a snorkel coming from you roof tho is that so you can breath personally I would have done a snorkel for the truck ;D
