Diff conversion GV to Vitara

I have noticed there is an article on the home page relating to the GV "air Diff" being 1" offset and therefore you cant use LSD, Air lockers etc.. I was half way through this conversion when I read it and paniced ! Well it works.. I smashed my alloy front member so sourced a 2002 GV steel front axle assy. I replaced the diff centre with my ARB locker and 5.125 gear set. Set up the air line, blocked off the "air diff" hole and assembled the whole show. No problems, it works ! I could not find a 1" offset anywhere.. These are Aussie parts, is the set up different in the US ??
Now I need to carry a spare CV joint do you think ?
The 90 mm lift causes a mean angle but I have not failed anything in the CV area yet..

lets see, 90mm is 9cm,  9cm divied by 2.54 =3.54in

so you have a 3 1/2 in lift,  have you droped the diff down.  i would worry about over extending(sp) the CVs.  But yes i would carry trail spares.

No I havent.. I looked at doing it and was going to ask Calmini if they sell the bits seperate.. Or fab my own.. I checked the extension of each joint with front wheel hubs out and still have a bit to go.. I have only used flipped mounts and OME struts so the total droop has increased by 70mm (2.76 ").

So where is the extra wheelbase in the GV made up?  Rim offsets?
