i was wondering if anyone has this setup in a samurai.

i would like to run a kicker 3 but use my 1.3.

anyone mated a tracker tranny to a samurai motor, what about shifter and tunnel clearance?

i really like the price and idea of the whole setup just need some opinions.

S.O.S.'s Lucky 13 marries the Kick belhousing to the Sammy 1.3L.

The kick trans shifter comes out of the floor between the stock sammy shifter locations. The sammy case shifter comes out in the same place as stock. The kicker shifter comes out off to the side of the tunnel next to the kick trans shifter. I know, I have one, gonna install it soon. 8)

I just finished installing mine behind an automatic, its a nice unit. I dont have a body lift so it took a bit of hammer work to get it in

You can run a Sidekick transmission behind a 1.3 by using a bellhousing from an '89 1.3liter Sidekick. Somewhat rare but they are around. I know Hawk has a few bellhousings in stock ready to go.

The shifter hole will need to be cut on the 'down slope' from where the stock Samurai shifter was and the t-case shifter is. I cut the same size hole as the Samurai shifter hole, used the Samurai shifter boot for the Sidekick tranny, and riveted some tin over the Samurai hole. It worked well.

Good Luck, Eric

okay if i get the lucky 13  and use the kicker 3 and don't move my t case do you think i will have to move motor forward to take up for the lenght of the adaptor.

also what about welding tabs to side of bellhousing to make it bolt up instead of using lucky 13.
