super winch vs. warn.  what is the difference and has anybody run the hub fuse from the warn hub? im curios if that might limit breakage to just a fuse that is only 40.00 dollars??

Seriously, run the stock Aisin hubs (Lockouts as Mikey calls them.) I've run Superwinch, Warn, and Warn Premium... all of them had problems with bolts loosening, even with locktite. I was unfortunate enough to actually chuck one of the Warn Premium hubs while going down the road. Where is it? I don't know...

Safety Wire will stop any problems I guarantee.

That said I've had my Warn premiums for about a year and a half just using the locktite and no problems with any of the bolts even thinking about loosening up on me.

Was gonna drill em for safety wire but the socket head bolts eat drill bits in my safety wire jig.  (Cobalt bits even).  Usually breakage rather than going dull, that 12.9 hardened stuff is tough.

Not in my case, my auto hubs were pretty much hosed due to corrosion, plus having 2 low is occasionally handy anyway.  Getting out to lock em being the only obvious drawback to the whole conversion.

If you have auto's and they're not working right (i.e. not releaseing as intended).  It does affect your milage plus it can  cause additional wear in the front end, CV joints etc.  Not much admittedly but 100 bucks for warn premiums vs who knows how much for replacement auto hubs made the choice pretty easy for me.  I did try to find some sammy/kick hubs in a junkyard first (auto and manual) but didn't have any luck anyway.

Besides, safety wire is inherently kinda sexy.

I'll give ya the sexy part. :) There are stock MANUAL hubs for the Sidekick too and in my experience, most junkyards basically give them away for $10-$25 bucks...

And about the hub fuse, I heard they don't work
well on the Suzukis, seems the fuse is about as
robust as the zuke axles, so it's a toss up as to
which one goes first.
