Rear bumper & wheel carrier
« on: November 02, 2003, 03:09:07 PM »
I'm looking for any ideas for building a rear bumper with a swingaway wheel carrier for a sidekick. I'm going to run 31's or 32's and fitting the spare will be an issue. I was thinking of doing something so that I could turn the rear bumper into an air reservoir for my compressor to inflate tires quicker and use it  to blow dust out of the filter etc. Anybody got any pics or plans or suggestions on materials to use that would give me a starting point?

...at least maybe these can provide some inspiration... sorry I don't have a good pic of the finished product yet, after it was capped off with sheet metal... but I can provide a rear shot... (if you haven't already seen it..)

;D

I used to run the spare on the tailgate but all the Baja'n around causes the gate to tear. Mines now welded and thats my #1 reason foe running the calmini rear bumper. I was shocked to find that it fits a 35 perfectly ;D
