OTT Industries 'Kicker 2'
« on: October 20, 2003, 04:29:20 PM »
Gang,
Has anybody any experience with the OTT Industries 'Kicker 2' case?

This type of setup looks like a REALLY good idea for those like me that that want this type of setup.   (dual transfer cases, fixed driveline flanges)

My reasoning is that the fixed flanges allow for more drive line options when going to solid axle.  The additional transfer case provides more gearing options.  AND, if you want, it also looks like it'd make going to toyata drivelines/axles easier.

But I'm really interested in if anybody have any feedback on this product?

The lack of replys tells me that there aren't too many folks running on this type of setup.

Has anybody given dual transfer cases any thought or is the mainstream to run the 4.x : 1 transfer case gears produced by various sources?

I sent them an e-mail about a week ago asking them some questions and they haven't returned it yet so??? it will shorten your drive shaft about 12"s or so if you have the room it will give you more gearing options also check out spidertrax.com they have some there that might work.

i will be running this setup for sure ,just have to get the bucks together .length isn't much of an issue ,i drive a 4dr. like nate said fixed driveline flanges ,this is a huge
option , goin with the toyota  t-case also lets you use
a factory toyota's cv-joint  driveshaft so you can perform the diff rotation properly . with a solid axle up front that will give you the option to go quite a bit taller in the lift department, and for gearing options the toyota t-case has tons of aftermarket gear options ,and with a longer front driveshaft and a solid axle the caster angle won't be such an issue ,no cutting and rotating of the steering knuckles .the whole damn setup will be sweet. and goin with this option might save you some money by not having to buy the 5.83's   and to have them installed ,everybody should be able to install an extra t-case and new shafts

anyways that's my too!! bits !!

also for me it is an easy option ,for i only live half an hour away from them .....
