Millican Weekend Date is set May 20-23!
« on: March 08, 2004, 11:42:56 AM »
Please see my other post for additional information. One thing to keep in mind, I do work in the construction industry and it is possible my job could spoil the weekend, it doesent normally happen but it has... I will work on a document that I will e-mail to everyone that wants to attend as the details come together, so it will be necessary for you to send me your e-mail address to be sure you get all the information. We will plan to gather at the Millican Store on Hyw-20, 23 miles east of Bend Oregon on Thursday 5-20-04. I will lead us up to our cabin from there. Our focus for the weekend will be easy off roading with instructions for the begining off roader, and Camping in Oregons Beautifull High Desert. Friday we will it the trails after a Pancake breakfast! I will make the pancakes, bring eggs and meat and we will find something to cook it on! We will get back to camp around 4:00 or so and if Thursday don't work for everyone to get there we can pick up stragglers at the store on Friday |removethispart|@ 6:00 PM. Bring you own dinner stuff, we have a BBQ pit bring charcoal! Breakfast Saturday will be French Toast by me! Bring the meat! We will hit the trails after we are done with breakfast and be back in the afternoon. I will check with OSU Pine Mountain Observitory to see if we can go see the stars from one of their jiant telescopes just a 1/2 hour run from base camp, there is a small charge i will find out what it is. Sunday is leasure day, relax, go on a nature walk, or explore and come and go on your own. We will on Oregon OHV Trail System Trails and we will all have maps. You will nees a OHV ATV Permit to be on the trails, I get mine at GI Joes or motorcycle shops that sell ATV's will sell you one. There are no utilities where we camp so bring wash water and drinking water, we have a shower stall we hope to have privicy wals built soon or we will can put something up. The millican store is open and would love your busness, the owners are good people and struggle out there some. My e-mail is glennlaurie|removethispart|@prodigy.net, send me your e-mail so I can keep everyone interested informed.
I was up there yesterday and it was beautifull! I almost called in sick for work and stayed.... Looking forward to a fun weekend.... Glenn (CB Channel #1)

Plans are coming together, we have a few rigs ready for a fun weekend. Let me know who is planing to attend and what day you are planning to arive so we can plan the most fun! We have a shower room now! we can heat & pump your water. It takes 3-4 gallons for a good shower, 4-5 for a couple :) ...
Remembe this is a easy trail weekend designed for any Zook pilot, even beginners! Stock rigs Oh Ya!  Read all the posts related to this weekend so you know what to expect and what to bring.  Reply to me, or reply to this post.

Glenn, I would love to go! The only problem is my son is going to be born on or around May 5. I should still be able to go but I'll have to play it by ear. I live in John Day so a chance to wheel with fellow zuks dosn't come around to often. Thanks, Tim
