my truck broke when we were wheelin' this weekend. the strut came right out of the extension piece when i hit a pothole. took the extension out and flipped the strut mount around for a temp repair for the rest of the weekend. i welded the extension together after work today so it won't happen again. see more pictures in the adventure section of our trip.

That is not good to hear. Did you still get enough down travel with just the mount flipped?

From the pic and what was written, I think what happened is that the top of the strut got pulled through the center of the mount. The bushings collapsed on top of the mount.
