Stock sammy t-case high range is 1.409

5.125 (axle ratio)            (multiplication factor of sammy High range reduction)
x  .409
----------------------
2.096125

2.096125
+5.125
========
7.221125

7.22:1  High range rear axle ratio  is Good  ;D

YEEK!!!  YEEK!!!  YEEK!!!  YEEK!!!  YEEK!!!
Do this in one step!
Don't "drop the 1", and don't do the adding:

Your ratio should have been calculated as:

1.409 X 5.125 = 7.22:1  (same answer, but no need to split them, and add them!)

So when I calculate my lowest gear (I have the 4.24:1 transfer case, and 5.83:1 diffs), I get:

3.65 (first gear ratio) X 4.24 (low range) X 5.83 (diffs) = 90.22:1

Now THAT is an excelent rock-crawling ratio.
