Warn Hub Fuses - Save your money!
« on: August 24, 2005, 08:01:40 AM »
I forgot to mention this after I made axle soup at Moab, back in March.

I had Warn Premium Hubs, and Warn Hub Fuses in the Gnewt, and grenaded TWO outer axles (the second one, I blew the CV cup into lots of little pieces), and the Hub Fuses show no sign of fatigue.  So save your money, the fuses will not save you from having to replace an axle.

I though I remembered reading a thread about the fuses not actually fitting the hub application for track/kicks... I could be wrong...
Had a cool sig pic till I changed the text... sigh...

The fuses will fit, they are made for a heavier vehicle (Jeep).  They don't work right for us.  If Warn made a Suzuki specific fuse, it would be much weaker than the Jeep fuse.

Maybe that was the problem I had read about... That and the Warn hubs ejecting along the highway from the bolts coming loose...

Save your money, keep your stock hubs

Bob, we have suspected this problem with
the hub fuze for a while now, thanks for the
report that confirms it

Yeah Dave Jones (Superzooki) published an email he recieved from Warn after he exploded his axle. In short it said that they are not made for or recommended for Suzukis.
