Shock ?'s
« on: October 17, 2005, 11:23:27 PM »
I have seen on this board that people use the rear shocks from a crown vic and also from a trooper.  Which are longer?  Anybody know?

Also, does anybody know if it is alright to use the OME struts with the strut spacers that come with a Calmini lift for a GV?  Is this combo ok, or does it cause CV issues at full droop?

Thanx in advance.
Can he say that here
Later,

Go witht eh Crown Vic shocks, better ride,
and you still need a 3" lift (suspension) to
use these.

I think the OME strut is OK with the Calmini
spacer, as long as you have the front axle
drop bracket in place, others here will say no.

I'm running 3" lift no axle drop, this is why I
say OK, you would only be over extending the
CVs by the increase in the OME strut, I think
about 1.5" if I remember right, but I don't run
OME struts, and I don't remember the increase
for sure.
