Well, I have the Chevy Tracker equivillent which has 15"ers
I saw that many of people were having problems finding replacement 16's due to brake issues... however I am not sure if I will...

I don't quite know if the Tracker has as big of front rotors as the GV equivillent, and the rear are just drums.

I am thinking of rather than going with a 15" large tire
I can find a 235\85\16, so I can have tall skinnies which would work best for my type of trail riding (generally going through deep snow and I don't think putting on super fatties is an option)

as well as have better gas milage as opposed to a 32"

btw-- this is going on the RRO 4" lift
03' 2.0L CAMI Tracker w/ 1.5" Front Spacers, 2" Rear Spacers, 1 & 1/4" poly-rubber rear spacer w/ hose clamps, Monroe Crown Vic interceptor rear shocks,1/4" bumpstop extenders, 1.5" strut Extenders, removal of sway bar and strut bar + plenty of cutting for 245/75/16 Goodyear MTRs

I don't know if it would work.  I've heard the brakes are the same and I've heard they're different.  I know my 16x7 steelies with 4" of backspacing wouldn't clear on my GV at all.  You'd need less than 3" to clear on a GV, and I'd bet it'd be more like 2.5" of backspacing to clear when it was all done.

My recommendation is to try it before you buy it.  I bought rims first and ended up loosing about $40 after I shipped them back for a refund. :(

Hey guys,

Check out rocky road outfitters, they sell some 2" back spacing wheels, this should keep the back of the wheel out from the caliper AND widen the stance some too. Also Bassett racing wheels out of the US makes truck wheels with 1" and 2" back spacing as well, I'm ordering one in to test fit my 31" LTB's going on my '01 tracker. I'll share pics when I get it installed.

The Tracker uses different brakes than the GV.  15's and normal 16's should fit any 99+ Tracker fine.
