How important is it to you that the Suzuki Aerio or Forenza Wagons offer a flip-glass (a.k.a. 2-pc. liftgate) design?

Not at all. All the two-piece liftgates I've had were a royal pain in the fanny but they were designed by GM. ;D A simple one-piece design with proper struts (long lasting) and intelligently placed handles work better.

I'm a Proud Member of Team BlueRibbon Coalition & Tread Lightly, are you?

I don't know about these vehicles specifically, but in general, i would say somewhat... here's why:  say you've got the back end loaded up to the glass, (like a big family trip, or grocery shopping for a whole village, etc.) you've got to have 3 people to open the back end... one on each side of the vehicle, to grab stuff before it falls out as soon as you open the tailgate!  I have to do this all the time when we go on family trips. (we take my brother and sister-in-law's mazda MPV)  sure enough, before my brother opens up the back end, he's like "you catch this side, and you catch this side"..... it would be easier to pull some of the stuff through the glass part.......... other than that, i see no use in it
