Sammy's windshield support
« on: January 18, 2006, 08:15:07 AM »
Can a Sammy's windshield stay upright securely without the side rails and targe bar attached to it?  I wan't it to be like a true convertible with just a windshield, like the old Jeep CJ's could be.

yes you can. it might not be quite as strong as the j**p, but it doesent rattle or move around. dont know how it would be with the fold down window kit.
had my targa off the first year i owned mine

There are a few shots of Sammy's running topless from a couple summers ago over here.

I would recomend the fold down kit if you want to run without a targa bar.  There is nothing quite like putting the windshield down when cruisin around the woods.  I used Jeep YJ hardware on my hood to strap the windshield down instead of the default Suzuki setup, but TJ bumps would probably work as well.

But I'm kind of a freak like that.  :D

I think Rocky Road has a fold down kit too
