one more advice , You can take coil springs of new (1999-2005 )5 door vitara (in Israel it named Grand Vitara ) - the springs will fit 100% - this will lift Your car for 2 main reasons:
1. Your springs are old and sink .
2. the New vitara's (Grand Vitara's) springs are design for more weight  - so in Your case they will lift Your car more .

in My first sidekick I made everything by my self with very low budget  .
I got from 2001 5 door Grand Vitara 4 springs for free after the owner replaced them with king springs and had nothing to do with them - so he gave me .

after the install on the springs on my 93 sidekick (We in Israel call it vitara - and 99+ model Grand Vitara)  the car was still very comfortable and not stiff  as I expected .
so of You get those springs for free or in low price - go for it .

attached some pic's of my old sidekick - 1993 with carborator - tires 215-75-15

a quiz :does anyone know what brand/model the 2nd car in the picture ? it's a hard one ( it is more common car in Europe ) - there are only 3 4x4 cars like this in Israel .

For longer shocks, I like the ones off of a 91 crown vic. they are 1-1/2" longer than stock and mount the same way. They are only $13 each at Advance Auto Parts, too.

are they the front or rear shocks from the vic?
