GM 2.5 Tech4 Engine - Yes or No
« on: March 28, 2006, 10:26:45 PM »
My brother who takes super good care of everything he owns just got in an accident with his '91 Olds. Hit in the side. He was ok but the insurance totaled the car. Buy back on it is $200. I was checking it out and when he opened the hood it looked like I was looking under the hood of a new car. Only 50K well maintained miles.

Now my question. Would this engine be a good swap into a Zuk? It has the same bolt pattern as a small block chevy so one of the adapters for a 4.3 V6 or V8 would work. It only has about 100 HP though in stock form. I really know very little about these motors.

Just wondering if it is even worth messing with since I know someone with a Tracker that needs a motor.

Hello,

If your going to do that, Why not use a 4.3....It's shorter, more power, and easier to get parts for.Plus the weight is about the same. But the 2.5 Iron Duke is a great little motor.Lot's of hop-up parts out there for it.
