Chilean Off Road Challenge
« on: May 12, 2006, 07:24:51 AM »
Hi to everyone , agian I'm asking for your help and knowledge.

Me and my clib here in Chile are attempting to create a second anual event , I was "volunteered" to organize it. The idea is to have some navigation (gps) competition mixed with some special test. This is where I need your help , can you people think in some of this test? Besides the mud pitt , tire pitt and bridge building.

I would the tests to be really dificult. Please give me a hand and let's give this people a hard time going through the course...

I was thinking how about a sand hill climb,
you had some pretty awesome pics of some
dunes last year.

Not a bad idea , during Nov 2003 the T.A.T.T here in Chile included somo dune riding...with no space to speed up in one single attempt , the one that got higher got more points. But I would like to do some new stuff , not done here before . How about building some sort of small bridge with logs ...that has never been done here. Or perhaps something similar to the Top truck challenge mixed with gps and shovels....lol

How about something like a geocache + poker run ...

At some various GPS coords, put a box with some numbered tokens in it. People hunt out the "caches", grab their numbered token from the box. At then end each token they collected gets them a card from the deck, make the best poker hand you can from your cards, best hand wins the prize.

Randomize the list of GPS coords each particpant/team gets so they aren't all heading to the same cache at the same time ...
I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy it.
