I came across this while rummaging around the net, more Exeter trial than Euro championships but I think its pretty cool.

Ah now that one predates time itself  ;D The Scamp was originally based on an Austin Mini. I recall them being produced in the late 1970's, I have no idea when they were first introduced.

remember the mini moke, of the prisoner fame, and based not on the mini but the morris 1100 / 1300

Yes, but if you're going to wander off to the world of old Austins then the Magenta was a much more capable car

Magenta - rings a bell but can't picture it.

tell you what I did see today, a pristine Hillman Avenger "Tiger", 2 door, orange with rear boot lid spoiler and black racing stripe
