The word I got is '03+ all GV, Vit, XL7's got the steel front diff.  Not sure about Trackers but I'd think so... ???

My '03 GV 2.5L V6 with an auto trans has a steel diff.

Do like I did, take a magnet under the truck and see if it sticks to it. :P  That confirmed it for me.

Good to hear.  What's the specs on yours again?

Seems like Suzuki/CAMI is like GM.  Sometimes you just get a vehicle that's got options and components it shouldn't have. ???

2002, V6, manual, electric windows/locks, A/C

My father's 99 tracker have (manufacturing by CAMI) in the door.

Mine have (manufactured in japan) in the door.

I'm soo confused I have an 03' Chevy Tracker made by Cami... but that could mean anything... possibly steel or aluminium

jeeze
Does anyone know where to get a steel housing from OEM to replace my potential aluminum one?

Junkyard and look for a manual equipped vehicle or a '03+ one.

Take a magnet to yours, easy as Fredo just did.  That will tell you whether or not you have to worry.
