'96 tracker strut mount

The strut mount's rubber of my '96 tracker ripped off last weekend, ruining a good offroad trip,
Not a major breakdown, still very anoying.

Did this happen to any of you, and did anyone find a good way to make it stronger maybe?

I have ripped them before. I just called Hawk (1-888-Samurai) and had them send me another one. I have only wasted two in over 300,000 miles. So it should not be a reoccuring problem for you.
