Read the previous posts re: hooking up the rear defroster with an original soft top 91 sidekick to a hardtop with the grid in the glass. Everything went as advertised. found the red/white wire in the rear tailgate, found the connector with the same(?) red/white wire hiding behind the left front speaker. Got the stock switch out of a 96 (first Zuki so don't know the car years, it was a steel hardtop with the rear grid and a lot newer). The switch has an orange light below the part you push. The light comes on when you turn the ignition on, goes off when you turn the lights on, but turns on when you push the button in and turns off when you release the button. I was wondering if I have selected the wrong connector behind the speaker. I didn't look for any more as I was happy to find the one with the red/white wire. I had read about a fog light switch connector and also in 96 models the light functions as described. Ours is definitley a 91. Does that 96 thing refer to the car and/or the switch?
