100 amps as compared to 55, dont neccesarrily know if its more readily available, but i would think being for a toyota its easier to find one at out of the way autoparts stores. There is one bug i still have to work out before i do a write up, but perhaps one of you guys can help point me in the right direction.
the plug on the alternator is the exact same plug as that of the trackers plug, i.e. the terminals are in the same position for ig and l which is what made me decide to try and mount the yota's, however now that its all hooked up and running, my alternator light stays on, ive checked voltage at several different places and i get a steady 14.62 volts(at idle)(i think this is due to a different pulley diameter)....so i know my alternator is charging, ive test everythying i can think of, its definately putting out amps, i can turn on brights, a/c, radio, everything i have and not have the lights flicker a bit, but what i dont get its that the light is tied to the l terminal on the alternator, and as far as i can tell doesnt actually go through the computer so the computer is not reading a different amp or something and turning it on, it should only be turned on by the alternator.
however since i dont have a fsm for the tracker i cant trace that wire very well, i just know the alternator is charging.
