I just put on a 2'' b.d.s suspension lift.I know have a clunk coming from the front right side?It only does it when I first start rolling and when i hit the brakes.I think it maybe the u joints but this is my first lift.Any input would be appreciated.

I'm not sure what comes with the BDS lift but when I put in my 1.5" coil spacers it clunked until I made a spacer for between the top of the differential and the little ball joint that attaches it too the frame.
 Once I spaced that to suit the suspension lift it went away.

Is it making the clunk in 4wd or 2wd, or both?
If it were a U-joint, I'm thinking it would do it in 4wd(hubs locked) only. Suspension related would be both.
Check the strut extensions, lower ball joints.

Good thinking, it's a possibility, he said it was in the front, but noises can be decieving 

Did you flip the strut mount or use extensions? It might be the strut going bad and that's the noise from it topping out hard...

If it were the strut extentions, it would clunk all the time. I think you're looking at something 4wd related since you're saying it only does it when the hubs are locked.  U-Joints, CV joints/CV shaft, lose housing bolt(s)/mounts.....

I got under there today and it looks like it is the bushings on the diff mounting brackets.They are very soft and when I put a prybar in there it moves.Is there supposed to be some play in them?Or are they meant to be fairly stiff?And where do I get these rubber mounts up in Canada?     Thanks for the help guys.

The diff mounting rubbers are fairly soft, I wouldn't worry about them unless they look perished. Do you have the diff drop brackets fitted? It could be the third member hitting the crossmember. The Calmini instructions tell you to grind the rib back a bit to get enough clearance.
You checked the prop UJ while you were under there didn't you?

The BDS 2" kit doesn't include diff drop brackets.

I put a 2 inch body lift on mine with 2.5 inch backspaced wheels and 275/75/15 MT's (Not the tires hitting) and am having the same problems but when I'm in 2 WD. I dont hear the noise except when I turn full turn. Usually backing out of the garage, it has a popping noise.. It makes very little noise when you turn the wheel at a stand still.  Going down the road ---- Nothing! If you hear something for the cause, please let me know!

You shouldn't need diff drop brackets for that lift. Rocky Road Outfitters sells a 2.5" lift without them, so I presume with normal driving, it's safe, but it depends on your driving style.
The 3rd Member is part of the differential, it's a carrier, with your ring and pinion gears, and as an assembled unit, bolts into the axle housing. I hope I explained that right....

When you installed the spacers, did you unbolt the Strut form the top and slide the shaft out through the upper strut mount? If so check that you tightned the upper mount all the way and check that you did not rip the rubber insulator in the upper strut mount. Either one could cause a clunking noise each time you load and unload the front suspension (not that I've done this  )
