I daily drove my 88.5 all stock gearing, spring over, with 31x10.5's 100 miles round trip to work 3-5  days a week for 2 years, plus I wheeled it....  14,000miles put on the first year... second year was about 7k due to I bought a 87 samurai and kepted that stock until I sold my 88.5

Nothing ever broke or wore out excepted waterpump, and fuel pump.
Plus my 31x10.5 MT's still had about 95% tread left all around... cant say that if your driving something heavy.

LTB's don't COME in 31x10.50/15...

not sure what you were running, but it wasn't that size in an LTB  (superswamper TSL-LTB is what he is asking about)

I put some 31x11.50 ltbs on my samurai.
I'm trying to find some 30 x 9.50's to put on my stock rims since to rubber is so soft on the ltb's.
or any 31, 32, 33 x 9.50's :) not picky. but just me I don't like spending 600 on tires every 2 years.

Yes I know, was just telling my thoughts on MT's on general on a sammy.  my friend runs swampers, and he daily drove it alot, but his look alot more wore down compared to mine....  they still have tread, but maybe 60% left...

Are your friends Swampers LTB's?  Cause if they aren't, they are a different compound and won't wear the same.

You can't compare two different models of tires...  wear and longevity is closely related to compound, tread pattern, vehicle weight and driving characteristics. It's like comparing apples to oranges, at the risk of sounding cliche
