still will not start- 97 Tracker 4X4 automatic
« on: February 21, 2007, 04:04:54 AM »
I have had the ECM checked and replaced the distributer twice. What else is there that would keep it from getting spark? Both times with new distributers it ran for a few minutes and quit. Is there something I am missing? Thanks

Have you checked the timing both before starting and then again after its stopped. Could something be slipping? I once had lots of problems with the timing on a car, turned out that one of the teeth on the cam had a big chip in it and every now and again it would skip a tooth.

It would still be firing just not in the right order. It is not getting any spark.
