    FWIW:  My stock 2 door softop tracker weighs ~2500 lbs.  My Kick (2 door softop) with bumpers, skids, trail gear, etc. weighs 2800 lbs with no tailgate & just half doors.  We've weighed 3 Samis in our group, all with aftermarket bumpers, skids, winches and trail gear and none of them weighed over 2500 lbs.

In most cases I think the smallest axles you can get on a tandem or car style trailer are 2 3500lb axles.  Those are the smallest available to my knowledge.
89 Sidekick. 33's.  Lincoln Locker,4.24 T Case, 5.13 gears. Warn M8000 winch.
96 Tracker. 39.5's Locked 44's front and rear, 6.5 t case, 4.10 gears.
