where should i get my lock rite from?
« on: December 31, 2004, 02:27:04 AM »
i think i've finally got enough $$$ to get a locker, so if anyone can help me, it'd be appreciated.

i'm looking to buy from the states, seeing as its half the price of a new one here (australia), but where would it be cheapest?

i looked at RR, and its like a lockrite with NO side couplers is $327.4844AUD with current exchange rate.

thats with air mail.

$320.6737 AUD for surface mail. like $7 difference. will customs get me too?

this can't be the cheapest? or can it....

if someone gets it for me, and sends it as a 'gift', will that get around customs?

thanks for any help.

When I ordered my GRP 4:1 kit form AU I did not get hit with customs coming into the USA. I do not know how it will work in reverse. RR, Calmini, Hawk, and Trail Tough (I think) all sell the LockRite for the Vitara (Kick).

I bought my lock rite from Tenessee Off Road last year whilst on vacation in the land of the free, carried it in my knapsack thru security (didn't try to hide it) at JFK no probs.... the woman in front of me at security was made to take her shoes off because they had metal eyelets..... ::)

I think I paid about $300 - worth every penny!
