Decided to keep the tracker
« on: May 28, 2007, 01:06:46 AM »
I have decided that I will probably keep the tracker. I probably wont get enough from selling it(mostly because people want streetabily over off road ability) and I want to put a lift kit on it, plus I know exactly what it has been through(If I was to sell it and buy another one later on, I wouldnt know how it was treated by its former owner). The only down side is that I will have to save up to buy another car to replace it as the daily driver while I rebuild the tracker. What the tracker needs(aside from the front clip due to deer damage) is the head to be rebuilt, and the transmission to get new synchros and bearings(or a low mileage transmission from a junk yard).
Runnin' it stock with 225/75R15s and an unmodified 8valve TBI motor (I need a doug thoroley header and a cam) (more power) (1.6 liters of madness) (vroom + sewing machine sounds)

Have fun with the build! Maybe build a tube front end to save $ on buying a whole clip.  Good luck! ;)

The main thing that is going to cost alot on the front end is the right headlight, and all the little parts behind the grille . I will probably have to find a tracker or sidekick in the pick and pull and get the grille, headlights, right side marker and mounting brackets, along with the front fenders(the front of them is dented) Unless someone has a parts trackick laying around that they dont want the front clip. I also have plans to put a better bumper on it so this doesnt happen again >:D
