Hi all, i'm back, sorto of.
« on: July 25, 2007, 03:38:55 AM »
just wondering if i can get some info on doing a 2" BL on a SWB.

i'm sounding like a noob, but its ok. i'm sorta starting again, from scratch, or from stock shouldi say.

what will i need to do for a 2" BL. and what won't i need to do. i'm just after all the things i need to look out for, and i will sort the rest out.

going 2" because of legality, and not 3".

thanks heaps guys

2" is pretty straight forward.

No steering extension.
No fuel filler extension
No brake line relocation, although it's still a good idea

You will need 5-speed shifter extension.  The t-case shifter can stay stock if you turn the boot upside down and rotate 180 degrees.

With a 2", i think you'll need solid blocks with the "stud extensions", just like most of the kits supply.  I don't think there's enough room to use box steel, then bolt it down below, like you do with the 3".

It only takes about 2 hours to do, if you have a friend to help with the alignment, then fix the shifter after that.

They didn't throw you in jail because of a 3" body lift, did they?  Where have you been lately.  It's been a while.

hi all, and thanks guys.

been heaps busy with work and so on, and trying to buy a house for me and my mrs, so been working bloody hard.

haven't been out wheeling on near 4 months, as wheeling = breakage, and breakage = money, and i got no enough money.

getting a new vit soon, 95 model efi soft top. starting from scratch, going to be a proper good project and daily driver.

i'm now working at ARB where i live, so that should help me along with my plans for another killer vit. might even be a ARB demo car too. (dreaming)

anyway, thanks for the help guys, i could always depend on zukiworld.

i will be doing a write up or start a new thread when i get my new vit, so i will be back.

thanks again.
