extending samurai brake hoses
« on: August 04, 2007, 10:53:23 PM »
A while back I asked if anyone new a good, in exspensive way to extend the samurai brake hose. Most responses were to spend the money. But, I don't have the money so I took a bit of info that toyota lines work and started searching. I found the 89 toy land cruiser has two outer front brake hoses which are 7.25" long and one inner front brake hose about 11" long. Most of the trucks have 16" and up hoses which would be pushing the "too much" button for me. I was able to find these lines in a self-serve junk yard .15 cents an inch. To install them was very easy (a little grinding was done to allow proper mounting to the frame). The rear hoses have been installed for about a week and look/feel much better than the hard lines zip tied to the frame. Total cost for all four extentions came to about $6.00
I hope this info helps those wanting to wheel with fun not funds.

An excellent suggestion, Drone!  Let's make it a ZukiWorld deal though...

Pardon the Thread Hijacking but could everyone who remembers what vehicle they "stole" their brakeline extensions from post it here for others to find via a search?

I'd start with mine except it's been 6+ years and I can't remember...  ;D
