Swift GT head on 1.6 8 valve
« on: March 30, 2008, 10:10:00 PM »
I have a chance of getting a Swift GT for parts. Has anyone ever put the GT head on a 1.6 8 valve? Any comments if it would even be worth the effort. I have an extra 8 valve engine sitting around so I would be able to try it out of the vehicle.

It is kind of a funny story but the swift was mine when it was brand new. I drove it for about 5 years and then moved into something a little bigger. When I moved from Vancouver to Whistler my wife said that my old car was around the corner. Sure enought there it was. Now I work on the car at the shop I work at. Unfortunatly the body has been over come by rust and the floorpan is litterally falling apart. The car isn't even road safe so I just wanted the engine and the seats to put in my kick. Here is a picture of the rust and it sitting next to my other Suzuki.

Check the conversions forum over at www.teamswift.net
they have plenty of info...

Also go to www.ssgti.net and
click on the "tunning" link... it's the second link from the top.
