While I was under the tracker measuring for the rocker armor, I noticed that my 215's on stock rims are rubbing the frame on the driver's side at full left lock. Not a lot, but enough. So I guess I will be getting a set of black steel daytonas or rock crawlers, 15x7", 5 x 5.5" bolt pattern with large center hole and 3.5" backspacing, right?

I would go with 2-3" backspacing if I were you

Go with 3" Backspaced 15x8 wheels... for future upgrades to 35's

There's a thought, but I seriously doubt right now that I will go that big on this rig....

i run 30x10.5 on 15x8 rims 3.75 back spacing with no rubbing full lock either way.

I think I'm going to go with 7" wide so the rims don't get smashed up by rocks as much as the 8" wide ones would. Now I just have to save and wait till I have saved enough! LOL!

Tonight I went wheelin again at the same place. I found some new trails and made it through a few that stopped me before. I guess I'm getting better at picking my line and feeling the traction... This little rig is impressing me more and more every time I take it out! Plus running at night adds a new element to familiar trails. Things always seem to look different at night. going the opposite direction than normal at night makes old trails seem brand new again! LOL!

Oh, and I made the creek crossing again, at night, without stopping! WOO HOO!
