samurai hinges
« on: October 14, 2008, 12:18:11 AM »
I bought a 1990 Samurai today but the guy ground off the studs that are used on the hinges to get the doors off.
I don't have it home yet but does anybody know the quick fix on that?
BTW is the injected motor more desirable than carb? motor.

He ground the whole entire stud out of the hinges?  Normally people just take the top part off of the stud making it possible to just slide the door up and off of the body.  If the hinges are no good at all you could either call up Hawk (they would most likely have them there).  Or if you want some bling bling you could get these http://lowrangeoffroad.com/images/samurai/body/hinges.jpg.  Im not sure of how mechanical you are or what kind of tools you have but taking the hinges off of the body has been know to be quite the job.
