freeriders98 here are some pictures of my samurai sitting on 29's. The pictures are still small but I think you'll get the point.

Thats good info to know NorCal. Thanks.

Looks like either way the bumper tubes will need some cutting and there will be some rubbing going on.

I got the same 3.5" Calmini S\R lift system and my 30" 9.5 BFG ATs rub that stupid "lip" on the back of the front fender when front wheel goes up it declines backwards a bit and wheel touches that "lip", just the same rubbing problem that norcalwreckchaser had posted about. You can read about S\R here http://www.off-road.com/trucks4x4/article/articleDetail.jsp?id=277628.

And I also want to go for 31" 11.5 LTBs and am wonderring if there'll be rubbing issues with springs when turn lock to lock.

Got 4.89 GRS2 t-case, when doing 100 km/h got about 3650-3700 rpms and this is on my 30" tall tires. 100 km/h = 62.2 mph

I've heared that I could use my stock rims but installed in side out, but I gues it's not that simple as might seemed to be.

Anyone can tell me with what offset should be rims so that 31" 11.5 LTBs won't rub springs? Maybe smthing like this http://www.tirepackage.com/Wheels/Rock-Crawler-Series-97-Black-Monster-Mod-Wheel.aspx?t_c=11&t_s=209&t_pt=100021&t_pl=3369&t_pn=PCW97-5785
but there's nothing about offset on steel wheels, offset indicated only on alloys.

Looks like we are in the same boat on the gearing and freeway rpms!! Thats good information on the offroad.com website, it helps confirm that it's possible to run 31's on a s/r 3.5 just need to do some trimming.

Thats a very good question on the offset of the rims to run a 11.5 wide tire so it doesn't rubbing the spring. Anyone out there have a good answer it clear this up?

I am running 1" wheel spacers all around, my wheels have 4" backspacing, no rubbing on the spring.

But what tires are you running?  And those 1" wheel spacer + 4" offset, how about wheel bearings stress?
