Once you unbolt the rear driveshaft it may be stuck but it will come loose from the rear axle.  Then you can just slip it out of the back of the transfer case.  I would drain the t-case first because gear oil will go everywhere.  The front driveshaft is the same way.  Then pull the shifters, take the bellhousing bolts out, unhook the clutch cable, then unbolt the crossmember and out she comes.  I think that is pretty much eveything.  I had the tranny out of my 96 X-90 a few times, I got lots of practice.

well i got pretty far, the driveshafts are off crossmembers out bolts are out of the bell housing.
well all but 1 on the bolts the furthest on the drivers and passenger side for some reason they decided a bolt was'nt good enough and used thread rod so you know where this conversation is going.

the drivers side nut came out with the bolt but not the passengers side me and my buddy pulled on the tranny and it feels its caught on that bolt

i don't know if they got the dumb idea to have it threaded where the bell housing is bolted into the motor or i'm pulling at a bad angel or something

I tryed to do the double nut trick to get the threaded rod out but stripped the end of the threaded rod trying it

it started raining so I did'nt get to check the drivers side that came off to see if it's threaded, but if it is like that i have no idea what to do

i also see alot of tubs and wires atop the tranny so when the tranny falls on top of me i don't know if there's any slack or not. i know the tranny will have no problem ripping those wires out i had my elbow on the ground and my hand on the bottom of the tranny and it was crushing my forearm and that's was with help

so any ideas or tips would be appreciated
Thanks
