Tracker lift
« on: June 29, 2009, 05:36:26 PM »
I just finished putting in a 1.5" body lift on my tracker.  I just wanted to know if that is enough for 235/75/15 to clear without rubbing.  I will be lifting the bumpers up the 1.5" too.  I don't want to cut fenders.  Thanks so much

I ran 235 wildcats with sammy rims on my tracker for awhile, Then i did skys 2" body and 2" coil spacers, Then ran 31x10.50 on 15x7's, Only rubbed on the bumper, Just trim it a little and your golden

Than a year later i put sammy axles w/ CJ RUF under it and ran 34x9.50's

Thanks alot.  I would hate to swap tires over only to find that they won't work.

I did that a week ago at my shop.  This is pre-lift.  Once I get it done, I will post more pics.

Here it is almost back together.  I am still waiting for 2 bolts for the front where I put the lift blocks.  Had to specially order them.  Something about fine metric thread.  I dunno.... stupid.  I just put the big tires on it.

Depends on the brand. Some people clear those tires with no lift at all. My 235s rubbed a little on FULL compression. I installed a 1.5" OME lift, and now they clear through the suspension travel. But, they do rub on FULL left turn. I'm too lazy to adjust the turn stops 'cause it's only the last TINY bit of the left hand turn... like 1-2" of turn on the steering wheel. I'm running the Pep Boy's Dakota M/T, which are just re-badged Cooper M/T.

Thanks!!  I have the 235's on with no probs.  No rubbing or anything...YET!!  So I decided since it is not all together yet to go with the 2" rocky road body lift.  Just got to wait for it to come in now.  I really want to get to driving it.  But I think safe is better than the homemade body lift.  I couldn't find the sleeved bolt/nut thing anywhere to fit the stupid metric bolts that the trackers have.  I wasn't about to cut holes in the floor to change the studs either.  Once the lift is finished, I am going to sandblast some of the rust on the frame, seal it and amorlock it.
