This "puddle" SURE didn't look this deep!!

the front tires weren't touching bottom.... and the frame was on the center of the rut..

took a  BIG Jeep (how embarrassing)  to yank me out...

Due to a hole (or two) in my oil pan, the engine sucked sandy water and went south.. spun bearing, prolly scored crank and more...

out with the old, and in with the new...

A snorkle doesn't do much good if you have holes in yer oil pan... LOL... (I swear, they were just little ones!!!)

Oh well

Been there too, check out the water line on my Tracker, I got you beat. My engine was all right though, as soon as it went in I shut it off, and never ran it till I drained all the water and oil out of it, I flushed it out a few times and it's still running ;D

LOL,  yeah, I have a skid plate...  but I also had/have rust holes in my oil pan.. this was the last ride before I swore I was going to put a pan on the thing... it only leaked a little... LOL.. and the skid pan caught most of it...   I knew I shouldn't have even tried to drive out of it more than just a little.. but some people are just stubborn...

Wow...I know this post is old...but too bad about the Turtle.  I just painted my Tracker OD green like yours....guess where I got the inspiration!  =)

Good luck fixing it!  If the block is good...you should have it stroked, and throw a bigger cam in it.  You might be able to extract 2 whole liters out of it.  How cool would that be!!
