Im in the middle of having my 1.6 rebuilt, and just wondering what other engines might mate up to the standard 5 speed tranny of a 92 geo tracker? what bell housings etc... Any Ideas floating around out there? And how tall a tire can I get away with on the stock suspention same rig.

The 3.1L V6 from and old Isuzu should mate up if you use the Isuzu bellhousing and a number of other modifications.  There's also a conversion kit to put a 2.0L out of a late model ?Tracktara? available.

The 1.8 out of the Esteem and Sidekick Sport, the 1.6 16-valve out of the Sidekick, and the 2.0 liter out of the Vitara will bolt directly to the 92 5-speed.

Good Luck, Eric
